Foerster Algebra 1 is a one year, high-school algebra course. The first part of the book leads up to the Quadratic Formula by mid-year. The second part of the book covers expressions with two variables, harder factoring problems, algebraic fractions, radical equations, and inequalities.
Intermediate Algebra and Advanced Algebra & Trigonometry (Prentice Hall Classics) is a two year textbook. Chapters 1-8 cover topics that are considered Intermediate Algebra, chapters 9-12 are Advanced Algebra, and chapters 13-15 cover Trigonometry.
