Adding Birthdays
It is soooo convenient to have all the info you need together in one spot! Homeschool Planet helps you accomplish that in multiple ways, including adding birthdays to your calendar. Learn how to add birthdays (and other annual events too!) with the instructions in this User Guide entry!
Adding Birthdays
Adding a birthday follows the same steps as creating an event. Follow the steps in our guide for creating an event here. You may want to change adjust the event options to tailor the event for birthdays and to ensure you can delineate between other events and birthdays, such as:
- Open the drop down menu in the “Category:” field and create a new category called “Birthdays” by selecting the “Add a Category” option at the bottom of the drop down menu to separate birthday events from your other event categories.
- Deselecting the “No end date” button below the “Until’ field to make the birthday a one day event.
- Leaving the “All Day” button to the right of the “At this time:” field if you are taking the whole day off for that birthday. Alternatively, deselect the “All Day” button if you are celebrating the birthday at a specific time.
- Ensure that you have selected the “Every Year on…” option under “Other” from the “When” dropdown menu.
